For years the PVCu window sector has extolled the virtues of the energy ratings of their windows, but as many in the aluminium sector already know, aluminium can also achieve high Window Energy Ratings or WER’s.
Utilising a triple glazed glass unit, the Reynaers aluminium window now achieves the top Window Energy Rating.
Window Energy Ratings are operated by the British Fenestration Rating Council, BFRC, and is one of a few systems being used to rate the energy efficiency of windows. WER’s are recognised in Building Regulations for new builds in particular. Using the now familiar traffic light concept many are familiar with on white goods as one example, replacement windows can now be easily rated for energy efficiency.
The Reynaers Aluminium Windows are the latest to achieve WER A+
With energy ratings set to get higher, the present highest level is WER A+ in energy ratings and this has been achieved by the Reynaers Concept System. This now means there is another of many aluminium window systems that can meet the top ratings utilising a triple glazed unit.
